CURATING THE CRUNCH
10am, Saturday 29th November
Just how will the credit crunch manifest for galleries and curators? Banks have gone up in smoke. City skylines are disappearing before our eyes.
With former insitutions buckling under the weight of the recession, how long until galleries go under? Just how do galleries propose to curate without cash?
As concerns grow for the middle end of the art market, we ask the experts.

WILL THE RECESSION BE GOOD FOR ART?
5:30pm, Saturday 29th November
Will recession see a raft of unemployed, paint-smeared souls? Or is the recession in fact a sheath of silver lining underneath a dark cloud? The financial decisions of the few have shaped the destiny of many and to largely negative affect. But has the recession provided the break art needs from a heavily stagnant marketplace? Or have the boom years been dealt a blow that will see art lost in the wilderness for years to come? We ask the reverent Charles Thomson, the legendary painter Patrick Hughes and the up and coming new artist Eleanor Lindsay Fynn before putting the question to you.
